It's a funky little feature and my kids got a kick out of peeking down the hall. The tall floor? They built it because the Kimpton Monaco is where the basketball players stay when they come into town to play - they made a whole floor with elevated counters and super tall doors. Salt Lake City | 0.35km from Salt Palace Convention Center I'm not tall, but the folks at the hotel are so enthusiastic and helpful! They told me that the hotel used to be a bank, and that the vault was currently repurposed for use in the kitchen (? - maybe I'm misremembering). The only thing I wish is that they had a larger selection in their Marketplace area. If I was staying in Salt Lake longer, I'd definitely choose here because I could use the kitchen area to make sure I ate decent food. I could easily heat up food and having a dishwasher meant I didn't have to do a lot with the dishes. ![]() Having kitchen utensils/items in the room was great for when I ended up staying in the room more than expected due to a tooth issue. This is above and beyond what I've seen at other hotels in the area. Genni waited with me until my Uber came to make sure I got in and got on my way to the airport okay. Genni & William are great and very helpful. I was hoping to get a muffin before they cleared breakfast, but I just missed it and the staff brought the bread tray back out for me to select from. There are several great restaurants within easy walking distance. It's reasonably priced and each room has some great kitchen features in it. It's right next to the Salt Palace convention center which makes it incredibly convenient. Salt Lake City | 0.32km from Salt Palace Convention Center This is the first time I stayed here and I'll be back. ![]()
